Diane Knoll is a traveler and adventurer, with a day job that includes working as an occupational therapist in special education. Her love for photography can be traced back to childhood, when she would stage photo shoots for her pet hamster in rollerskates (dead serious). Recently being urged by her friends, she has started to pursue it as more than a hobby, but doesn't ever want to take herself too seriously. "I just like to take pictures and hopefully you'll enjoy looking at them."
Diane Knoll- Artwork Statement
I spent a month of my life in a unique community where India meets Tibet in the Himalayan mountains. These images display the grandeur of McLeod Gange, the simpleness of Dharamkot village, the way animals intermingle so cohesively with daily life, and the majestic beauty of the nature that surrounds these places. I couldn't quite capture this second home to me with just one image, but felt that a series of images in a three dimensional shape of a house would better illustrate my experience and my love for this distinct corner of the world.
